The facts about Australian immigration:
Well, well, well, now that everyone is indiscriminately promoting Australian immigration, I thought I might shed some light on the current status.

𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑:

Looking back to 2023 of Australian immigration , there were only two rounds of invitations for the 189 and family sponsored 491, all focused on health professions and teachers. The most recent round of invitations on December 18, 2023 disappointed many aspiring migrants as the invitations were limited to health professions and teachers. And let me tell you, this fact doesn’t change for any consulting firm or person advocating for Australian immigration!

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧

Offshore applicants are no longer given priority processing, possibly due to the government’s focus on easing pressure on the housing market in major cities. This shift encourages regional visas and discourages offshore applications from individuals likely to settle in urban areas.

𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬

It is clear that no one around the world has received subclass 189 invitations for the whole of 2023. However, we Success Immigration have been successful in receiving the state sponsorship for subclass 190 and regional sponsorship for subclass 491. I have shared the nominations on Linkedin and our website as well!. Although Victoria and NSW certainly do not accept applications with lower points, we have no choice but to ask applicants to increase the points or process the application through 491, which is more promising than the other subclasses!

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

Australian immigration remains the most sought-after immigration process for skilled professionals, as their skill assessment is so well-defined with the relevant skill assessment authorities. However, the current situation is worrisome, as there are no draws from the Government for IT and other skilled professionals. This seems quite unreasonable and puts unnecessary pressure on those aspiring to come to Australia and does not allow them to get an invitation!

As an immigration consultant, all I can say is that you should look for ways to increase your points; this could be the NAATI exam, spouse points, IELTS, and always aim for subclass491 if your points are low and you are already in your 40s.
